Job Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 base plus annual discretionary bonus
Overview:
A global firm is seeking a Systems Engineer to manage and enhance its hybrid infrastructure. This role involves supporting compute, storage, and networking systems across on-prem and cloud environments, with a strong focus on automation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent
* 3-5 years of infrastructure management experience with strong expertise in Linux and Windows systems administration
* Strong scripting expertise in Python or Powershell, Bash exposure is nice to have.
* Proficient in Linux/Windows, virtualization (VMware/AHV), and networking
* Cloud experience (preferably AWS)
* Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines
* Strong communications skills, and experience working within a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.
Nice to Have:
* Certifications (Linux, Windows, AWS, Kubernetes)
* Experience with Citrix and enterprise storage solutions
This role must sit out of the firms Chicago office working in person 5 days a week.
