Job Title: Senior Project Manager Investment Banking (Data Projects)

Location: New York, NY (Onsite/Hybrid)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with deep experience in investment banking and a strong track record in delivering Data Warehouse (DWH) and data-driven projects. The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional teams to deliver complex data integration, analytics, and reporting solutions that meet regulatory, compliance, and business objectives. This role demands exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and expertise in banking data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Delivery Define scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables for DWH initiatives; manage budgets, resources, and schedules.
  • Stakeholder Management Serve as the main liaison between business users, technical teams, and external vendors.
  • Data Warehouse Leadership Oversee end-to-end DWH projects including data modeling, ETL/ELT, integration, and reporting for banking functions such as risk, compliance, and customer analytics.
  • Risk & Issue Management Proactively identify risks, implement mitigation plans, and resolve issues to maintain project timelines.
  • Quality Assurance Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with banking standards through rigorous validation and documentation.
  • Team Leadership Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Process Improvement Drive enhancements in project management methodologies and DWH development practices.
  • Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to financial regulations, security policies, and reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
  • 10 years as a Project Manager in banking/financial services.
  • Proven experience delivering Data Warehouse/Data Lake/BI projects.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, risk management, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data modeling, SQL, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage projects in complex, regulated environments.
