Role: Cancer Registry Personnel
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Job Summary:
The Contractor shall provide Cancer Registry personnel to:
- Provide comprehensive case finding processes that include review of all available data sources to identify and accession reportable patients within thirty (30) to sixty (60) calendar days of first contact with the reporting VISN/VAMC. This includes community care under fee basis or purchased care for the enrollment population.
- Complete patient data abstraction of the full required data set completed in the approved Cancer Registry database software for all reported patients to VA and CoC standards unless otherwise directed.
- Clear software data quality edits in the current NAACCR version applicable to the diagnosis year.
- Perform lifetime annual follow-up for disease surveillance to the current VA reference date only as assigned. Performs this requirement to VA and CoC standards.
- Provide occasional consultative services, both by telephone and/or virtual conferencing platforms, to assist sites in the accreditation process on an as-needed basis.
