Title:

GEOINT Product Quality Engineer

KBR is seeking a highly qualified GEOINT Product Quality Engineer to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) support for the Mission Operations Directorate (MOD). MOD operates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, and manages the 24-hour Operations Center which, working with U.S Strategic Command, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness.

As a GEOINT Product Quality Engineer, you will support our customer in Springfield, VA will perform GEOINT quality risk analysis, test planning, and test performance of GEOINT data, systems, applications, and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project quality support at PQS readiness events and for the review/comments on associated artifacts for new requirements on the PQS baseline
  • Assist in identifying Enterprise PQ risks, potential PQ impacts and mitigation options
  • Support the identification and resolution of product quality issues related to a softcopy product display on NRO-supported hardware and software systems to ensure proper interface between product files and viewer
  • Report and track DIPs affecting processing operations by means of enterprise reporting tools
  • Conduct Analysis/Gathering, Test Planning, Test Case Development, Test Execution, Test Automation, and Test Reporting related to GEOINT quality concerns for both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Design, execute, and report results of effective GEOINT quality and functional tests, developing effective collection plans, capturing and reporting issues, and adapting existing test strategies to new and evolving capabilities.
  • Experience ensuring the logical and systematic realization of verification and test requirements into system solutions to meet program objectives (e.g. test scenarios, test plans, defect tracking, lessons learned)
  • Experience supporting test automation, test-driven development, and test process and procedural improvements
    Experience designing and applying manual test cases and automation scripts to address GEOINT quality risks
  • Experience supporting the automation strategy/effort for modernizing the GEOINT quality test mission


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related quantitative science field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a GEOINT Quality Test Engineer
  • Applied knowledge of sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processes of SAR and EO products
  • Imagery analysis experience in the Intelligence Community at the national level.
  • Knowledge of soft copy exploitation functionalities
  • Knowledge of Electro-Optical and SAR payloads and their Concept of Operations (CONOPs)


Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering or related quantitative science field
  • Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programs
  • Experience with cloud development processes
  • Experience with industry system engineering practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership.
