Role: IMS System Programmer
REMOTE
Duration: 1 year
Job Responsibilities
- Experience working within an IMS Database environment. Familiarity with mainframe functional areas such as z/OS Operating System, Storage, Databases, CICS, and Disaster Recovery concepts.
- Experience in IMS V15.5 or Later upgrade with SMP/E
- Experience in ISV products include, but are not limited to CA database tools, IBM database tools, Sysview, Omegamon, and Mainview.
- Experience in IMS Database Objects, Logical Unit definitions, and IMS Commands.
- Expert in IMS configuration like SYSGEN, PSBGEN, Subsystem configuration.
- Will serve as primary technical contact for the mainframe Database for one or more clients during transition.
Experience level
- 12+ years of professional work experience as an IMS Mainframe System Programmer.
Technical key skills (Mandatory skills)
- Expertise in performing SMP/E and Non-SMPE Installation of ISV products
- Expertise in IMS V15.5 or later upgrade
- Mastery of IMS Database objects, PSB, ACB and SYSGEN process.
