RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior ETL Tester in Charlotte, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
* Senior ETL Tester will analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL workflows and database processes
* Perform functional and regression testing of ETL jobs, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and transformation logic validation
* Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data movement across multiple systems and identify data discrepancies
* Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and clarify expected outcomes
* As a Senior ETL Tester, you will document and report defects, track them through resolution, and ensure issues are resolved within project timelines
* Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting throughout the QA lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience as a Functional Tester, Data Tester, or ETL QA Analyst
* Hands-on experience validating large datasets across data warehouses, relational databases, and ETL pipelines
* Strong knowledge of ETL processes, workflows, and validation techniques
* Familiarity with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar)
* Proficiency in advanced SQL (complex joins, subqueries, window functions, performance optimization)
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
