We are looking to hire Sr. Scrum Master at New York City, NY & Charlotte, NC

 

Job Description:

  • As part of the Risk Technology department, the Scrum Master will take part as a facilitator for technology teams, and a project manager for Market Risk IT initiatives.

 

Main Responsibilities

Agile Leadership:

  • Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more agile teams, ensuring agile practices are followed and understood.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Assist in tracking and removing impediments, fostering an environment for high team performance and continuous improvement.

 

Project Management:

  • Assist with the planning, tracking, documentation, and status updates for the ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

 

Requirement Analysis:

  • Elicit and analyze business requirements from internal stakeholders regarding financial time series data management and analysis.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project progress, design decisions, and Agile practices

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT with more than 5 years in financial projects (preferably in the area of Market Risk)
  • Good understanding of financial instruments and yield curves.
  • Expertise in writing user stories with good acceptance criteria in Jira
  • Good understanding of ETL and Data warehouse concepts with some hands on experience with data analysis
  • Experience with managing Jira boards, Service Now dashboards, Confluence pages, Excel reporting, and creating and tracking KPIs
  • Functional expertise in financial domain.
  • Good communication and presentation skills

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Power BI and SQL
  • Experience with any vendor time series management products
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis using SQL and command line tools

 

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Management, or Engineering
