Description:
The Administrative IT Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting and executing administrative-focused IT projects within the NC Health Information Exchange Authority (HIEA).
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Manage and coordinate administrative projects that support the business operations of the HIEA, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the point of contact between IT, finance, HR, legal, communications, and executive teams to gather requirements, report progress, and resolve blockers.
Procurement and Vendor Oversight: Lead technology procurement efforts and ensure contract terms, milestones, and deliverables are tracked and fulfilled.
Governance & Board Support: Coordinate technical and administrative logistics for board meetings, policy reviews, and governance documentation, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient workflows.
Legal & Compliance: Work closely with legal teams to ensure IT-related administrative projects align with healthcare data privacy laws, legislative mandates, and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
Financial and Budget Management: Assist with the budgeting, tracking, and reporting of IT and administrative expenditures.
Human Resources Coordination: Support IT-related aspects of onboarding and offboarding processes, including access control, training systems, and policy compliance.
Communications & Change Management: Partner with marketing and outreach teams to support internal communication plans and ensure smooth rollout and engagement for IT initiatives.
Risk and Performance Management: Monitor project risks and dependencies; track KPIs and develop dashboards to communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
