Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Leadership
Serve as the primary business interface for alternative asset clients in the Boston and Washington, DC regions.
Lead discovery sessions, define business needs, and translate requirements into actionable deliverables.
Partner with client executives, investment professionals, and operations teams to identify opportunities for digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Business Analysis & Solution Design
Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements for Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate products.
Develop and maintain detailed process maps, data flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
Collaborate with product, technology, and data teams to design solutions that support investment lifecycle activities (deal capture, valuation, performance, investor reporting, fund accounting).
Domain Expertise & Advisory
Advise clients on best practices, industry benchmarks, and regulatory considerations related to alternative investments.
Bring deep knowledge of fund structures, capital calls/distributions, NAV calculations, performance measurement (IRR, MOIC), and REIT operations.
Stay current on emerging trends, data standards, and technology solutions in the alternative assets space.
Delivery & Governance
Support project planning, prioritization, and execution in agile or hybrid delivery environments.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management.
Ensure quality control and adherence to compliance and reporting standards.
Qualifications
Required:
7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or SME within Private Equity, Private Credit, or Real Estate (REITs) domains.
Deep understanding of alternative asset operations, fund accounting, investor relations, and performance analytics.
Proven experience leading client engagements and requirements workshops.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across business and technology stakeholders.
Familiarity with leading platforms (e.g., eFront, Investran, Allvue, Burgiss, Dynamo, Black Mountain, Yardi, MRI) is highly preferred.
