Cloud Security Operations Lead (AWS)

As a Cyber Cloud Security Operations Lead, you will work with our diverse teams of passionate and expert professionals to help solve for some of today's toughest cybersecurity and organizational challenges to enable or clients to enable business growth and continue to manage evolving risk.

As a Cloud Security Operations Lead in Deloitte's Cyber Risk Services, you will lead team prioritization based on client requirements, coordinate with key stakeholders to refine requirements, and lead team workflow.

Provide remediation guidance to client teams to resolve findings in AWS both in the AWS console and through Terraform.

Author Terraform code examples and pseudocode to assist application teams with remediation efforts.

Conduct risk assessments of identified Wiz findings to tailor rules based on the client context.

Assist in governance, risk, and controls functions to drive agreement on rule updates and provides expert input into standards documents.

Monitor ticket flow and escalates thematic issues with application teams and partners with client Cloud Platform Engineering to drive thematic and platform issues to resolution.

Work with security application teams to develop cloud architecture solutions which meet client CTSO's unique cloud requirements (note: CTSO routinely requires nonstandard patterns).

Guide client partners with expert technical knowledge on Terraform, Wiz, and the AWS platform.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security operations, specifically AWS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Cyber Security.
  • Experience developing Terraform and updating existing infrastructure as code to conform with security standards.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments of identified Wiz findings to tailor rules based on the client context.
  • Expert technical knowledge on Terraform, Wiz, and the AWS platform.
  • Experience utilizing cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools such as Wiz, Security Hub, or Prisma Cloud.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to author terraform code examples and pseudocode.
  • Expertise in risk assessment and rule tailoring based on client context.
  • Expertise in governance, risk, and controls functions.
  • Ability to drive agreement on rule updates.
  • Ability to monitor ticket flow and escalate issues effectively.
  • Ability to drive thematic and platform issues to resolution in partnership with Cloud Platform Engineering.
  • Ability to work with security application teams to develop unique cloud architecture solutions.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,600 - 141,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
