We are looking for Technical Project Manager for our client in San Jose, CA
Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr
- The Technical Project Manager is responsible for full lifecycle project ownership, including strategic alignment, requirements documentation, RAID management, scope governance, UAT, go-live support, and post-launch stabilization.
- The role requires strong technical understanding, advanced artifact authoring, and the ability to drive alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to create detailed project charters, business requirements documents, and As-Is/To-Be process maps.
- Strong RAID management discipline, including risk mitigation, issue tracking, and dependency management.
- Proven capability to manage scope governance to prevent scope creep.
- Ability to coordinate end-to-end execution, including UAT, go-live planning, and hypercare.
- Skills in translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Ability to identify and document gaps between current and future-state processes.
- Experience driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring predictable project delivery.
- Ten or more years of experience in technical program management, project management, or business analysis within a technical environment.
- Drive strategic alignment and synthesize project requirements beyond template fulfillment.
- Develop project charters, BRDs, and detailed process maps.
- Manage RAID items, identify blockers, and drive mitigation strategies.
- Implement strong scope governance and manage formal change requests.
- Track and resolve cross-functional and technical dependencies.
- Coordinate UAT and oversee comprehensive go-live preparation.
- Manage post-launch hypercare and ensure successful transition to support teams.
- Define and track KPIs to measure project success and business value.
- Strong technical understanding of system architecture fundamentals.
- Ability to manage technical implementation teams.
- Expert-level proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Relevant academic background required.
- Additional certifications or training in project or technical program management are advantageous.
