Job Details

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Leads the development and management of data platform engineering capabilities, enabling reliable, scalable, and secure environments through automation, CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery), and modern developer tooling to accelerate product delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing platform engineering team fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.

2. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and developer tooling to support efficient data product delivery.

3. Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and data teams to standardize infrastructure, security, and deployment practices across environments.

4. Manage modernization and scalability initiatives to enhance reliability, monitoring, and performance of data platform components.

5. Lead platform engineering operations, ensuring governance, compliance, and alignment with enterprise standards.

6. Partner with vendors and internal teams to evaluate and adopt emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies that improve delivery speed and platform resilience.

7. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, Information systems, or a related field
five (5) years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or data infrastructure
Proven expertise with automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, Docker)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
Understanding data platform operations, security, and observability best practices
Strategic and technical leadership to enable secure and scalable platform capabilities.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize automation and reliability.
Communication and collaboration skills to align cross-functional engineering and data teams.
