Job Title - Senior Enterprise Monitoring Specialist/NOC Monitoring Specialist Duration - 9 Months Location - Fairfield, CA 94533 (100% Remote)

W2 Only

Equipment Required: personal laptop required. The client will only provide Citrix/VDI access.

Overview:

  • The IT Operations Tools Team is responsible for overseeing Monitoring & Automation tools within client. These responsibilities include planning, design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and operations.
  • To help our monitoring and situational awareness, the company is rolling out a new Enterprise Network Management System (ENMS). The ENMS will provide Manager of Manager and Domain level monitoring tools for Network, Telecom/Transport, SCADA, and other monitoring requirements.

Position Summary

  • This position is for an IT Product Specialist who will be responsible for supporting ENMS Project rollout activities. The product specialist will work under the guidance of the senior product specialists on the project.
  • The primary focus will be to support the Network Monitoring tools for the project, though may grow to include other ENMS tools.

Responsibilities

  • These responsibilities below are what is currently defined with the project. Additional responsibilities may be added based on project requirements.
  • Creation of Global Sites
  • Run Discoveries
  • Decommission Devices
  • Create Reports/Dashboard

Required Skills:

  • The candidate should have the following minimal skills.
  • 5+ years of experience working in an Enterprise NOC / IT Operations environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in support and administration of Enterprise Monitoring tools in a NOC / IT Operations environment.
  • Documentation skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic Knowledge and Familiarity in supporting applications running on Linux and Windows systems.
  • Basic Knowledge and Familiarity with Networks and Servers (Windows, Linux, Unix, AIX)

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience working in ticket management systems such as BMC Remedy
  • Experience with scripting like Bash, PERL, or Python
  • 1 2 years of experience supporting Monitoring Tools such as Broadcom DxNetOps (Spectrum, Performance Center), Micro Focus Network Node Manager, IBM Tivoli NetCool.
