The North America Insights & Intelligence (NAI&I) team drive a human-centric and integrated Power of One (PO1) approach to insights and intelligence across our North America Commercial and Consumer organizations, to drive market-leading growth for PepsiCo. Responsibilities

As an Associate Manager, Space Analytics & Data Optimization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our space management capabilities through data, technology, and automation. You'll be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining Azure SQL and other database environments that power critical business decisions-especially in support of our Digital Planogram Ordering (DPO) system and frontline sales tools. By driving digitalization and enabling faster, smarter, better decision-making, you'll help transform how our sales teams do business and unlock new ways of working.   • Build and optimize data storage systems that support space analytics, including table structures, indexing strategies, and partitioning in Azure SQL to ensure performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, and scripts to support internal tools used by frontline sales teams and space planning stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary database expert on the Space Analytics & Automation team, focusing on efficient data modeling, performance tuning, and large-scale data management.
  • Partner with sales and customer teams to understand planogram logic and translate business needs into robust backend data solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (NAII, S&T (Strategy and Transformation), sector teams, etc.) to align on end-to-end data flow, ensuring consistent and reliable access to high-quality data.
  • Lead efforts to organize and centralize internal data sources, enabling smarter analytics and more seamless tool development.
  • Contribute to the development of internal tools by providing clean, optimized datasets and designing backend processes that support user-facing solutions.
  • Be at the forefront of building the team's data infrastructure, directly influencing how data is collected, stored, and leveraged for growth.
  • Snowflake experience is a plus, as we expand our analytics capabilities beyond traditional SQL environments.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $149,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience and strong proficiency working with Azure SQL, including writing complex stored procedures, performance tuning, and index optimization required.
  • Strong understanding of relational database design and data architecture best practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business teams, especially sales or operations, to translate business logic into data-driven solutions.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, or other cloud-based data platforms is a bonus.
  • Experience working in the CPG industry is a bonus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work outside traditional IT silos and within a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
