Job Title: Senior Hardware Design Engineer Digital Systems PCB
Location: St. Charles, MO (Must be local Hybrid role)
Salary: $120K $140K base, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time | No relocation or sponsorship

Overview:
We're hiring a Hardware Design Engineer with strong digital design experience and some analog knowledge. You'll design advanced systems using FPGAs and CPUs, create PCB layouts, and work with power and signal systems. Projects often involve Power over Ethernet (PoE) and power supply design. This is a hybrid role requiring local candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design digital hardware systems (80 90% digital, 10 20% analog)

  • Develop systems using FPGAs (VHDL/Verilog) and modern CPUs

  • Design PoE-based systems following IEEE 802.3 standards

  • Create power supplies (custom or using COTS modules)

  • Select components with focus on performance, cost, and availability

  • Use tools like Altium for PCB design and SPICE/MATLAB for simulations

  • Ensure designs meet FCC, CE, RoHS and other compliance standards

  • Test, debug, document, and improve hardware systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field

  • Experience with FPGAs, CPUs, PCB tools (Altium preferred)

  • Understanding of digital and analog circuit design

  • Familiarity with compliance standards

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with low-power systems, embedded design, and high-speed interfaces

  • Knowledge of international compliance and mission-critical applications

  • Automotive, industrial, or consumer electronics experience

  • Familiarity with hardware validation and test tools
