This engineer understands collaboration and attention to detail as well as data visualization and has experience within the insurance industry. Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Data Engineer to help build out a new data warehouse. This engineer understands collaboration and attention to detail as well as data visualization and has experience within the insurance industry. This is a fast-paced working environment, and embraces change to keep up with industry trends and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Support the internal company community by offering guidance on data governance, facilitating training, and encouraging collaboration across teams.
- Use critical thinking and creative approaches to design new data warehousing.
- Design and create large data warehousing.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies to explore innovative ways to enhance analytics, automation, and enterprise decision-making.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (data science or statistics). More than 5 years of experience if no degree.
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience; insurance industry experience is a plus.
- Pyspark
- Python
- Fabric - data governance, notifications, optimization (we want a unicorn who is amazing at Fabric)
- Very strong SQL experience
- Building facts and dims in a data warehouse (Kimball/dimensional/star schema experience)
- Any insurance data experience is a huge plus
- Demonstrated initiative and strong problem-solving abilities.
