Waygate Technologies seeks an Electrical Engineer for the R&D Engineering Team. This candidate will be a part of a team that develops and tests the most advanced hand-held remote visual inspection (RVI) equipment in the world. Work entails design, development, and test of circuits for our industrial borescopes

As a Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Design and development of portable world-class video borescopes.
  • Develop electrical architectures and detailed electrical designs, mainly through circuit board design in the Altium toolset.
  • Participate in project team launch activities as required, including troubleshooting, validation, testing, experimentation, and test reporting.
  • Devise and execute cross-functional (HW, SW, Mechanical) experiments to alleviate high risk portions of designs, thereby enabling programs to launch on time.
  • Develop and execute electronic manufacturing tests to ensure a high-quality product delivery to our mission-critical customer base.
  • Document products and technical data generated consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.


Feed your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:
  • B.S., M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 7 years of industrial experience in digital circuit development


Desired Characteristics
  • Circuit board design and layout (preferably using the Altium ECAD toolset).
  • Circuit board test and creation of automated test protocols.
  • Proficient in the analysis of discrete and integrated analog circuits, digital logic design, linear algebra (preferably in image processing applications)
  • Interest and capability to do limited software development in C/C++ or Python as needed to support experiments or microcontroller implementations
  • Signal processing algorithm development experience in Matlab or Mathematica
