LOCATION: On site in Anderson, IN
WORK SCHEDULE: Mostly weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm. Some flexibility required based on project work.
TRAVEL: 20%
Duration- 15 Month+ Project
POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, Capital Project Engineering is responsible for providing technical leadership coaching and managing resources by identifying, developing and executing capital projects for the factories. This position will manage resources that handle the design process and assure adherence to all established key components and project deliverables as well as directly manage overall project execution including construction and commissioning. Additionally, this position will coordinate with the client as well as various other groups inside and outside of the organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coaching and Managing Project Managers Preliminary in Project Development including Charter development
2. Assist in development of pre-project approval documents including project charter, project management plan, project kick start, estimate and milestone schedule creation.
3. Monitor design progress and deliverables are met in adherence to established project key components.
4. Receive design details from design team with full understanding of project deliverables to coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding and field execution. Select contractors and contracting methods based on engineering ways of working methodology.
5. Project Execution Support and Facilitation
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT & EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree in engineering or construction management and minimum 15 years of related work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
15 + years experience managing capital projects with increasing responsibility and complexity in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
Engineering project management experience required, with 7+ years experience preferred
Preferred: Experience using SAP and/or Microsoft Project
Preferred: TPM experience.
Ability to work off shifts, weekends and holiday's as required

Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to complete major projects in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to schedule resources effectively so continuous improvement is not sacrificed for day to day results.
