We re looking for a Product Manager to lead our Observability Engineering initiatives someone who s passionate about building visibility into complex systems and helping teams move faster with confidence. You ll own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of observability tools and platforms, including Datadog, New Relic, and Dynatrace, ensuring our teams have the insights they need to build, deploy, and operate software at scale.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and product perfect for someone who understands both the technical side of monitoring and the business value of great observability.

What You ll Do

  • Own the Observability Product Vision:
    Define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for observability across the organization, ensuring alignment with engineering and business goals.

  • Build and Manage the Roadmap:
    Develop and maintain a product roadmap for observability platforms and tooling prioritizing features, integrations, and improvements that deliver measurable impact.

  • Prioritize the Backlog:
    Work with engineering teams to refine and prioritize the backlog based on customer needs, technical requirements, and strategic priorities.

  • Drive Tool Adoption and Optimization:
    Oversee the implementation and ongoing optimization of observability tools like Datadog, New Relic, and Dynatrace to improve performance monitoring, alerting, and telemetry.

  • Collaborate Across Teams:
    Partner with developers, SREs, operations, and infrastructure teams to understand their challenges and deliver observability solutions that improve reliability and developer experience.

  • Measure and Report Impact:
    Define key metrics for observability maturity and system health. Use data and feedback to guide decisions and demonstrate value to stakeholders.

  • Champion Best Practices:
    Promote observability as a core engineering discipline guiding teams on instrumentation, dashboards, tracing, and logging practices.

  • Agile Delivery:
    Operate within Agile development practices, ensuring clear communication, consistent iteration, and timely delivery of roadmap items.

What You ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Platform Engineering, or SRE/DevOps with a strong focus on observability or monitoring.

  • Hands-on familiarity with tools like Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Prometheus, or similar.

  • Proven experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, and prioritization in an Agile environment.

  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable product plans.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills able to bridge technical and business perspectives.

  • A mindset focused on data-driven decision making, continuous improvement, and delivering customer value.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

  • Background in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or technical operations.

  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or Elastic Stack.

  • Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
