Role Overview: Our client seeks a Senior Technical Architect / Engineering Manager to design, modernize, and scale high-availability payment applications and services. The role spans solution architecture, hands-on engineering leadership, SDLC governance, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration (Product, Security, Compliance). The ideal candidate brings 20+ years in Java/J2EE ecosystems, modern web frameworks, microservices/API design, CI/CD, and enterprise data platforms, with demonstrated delivery across financial services, retail, and forex trading domains. Key Responsibilities: Architect and lead scalable, secure payment services and integration layers (REST/SOAP) across consumer and issuer platforms. Own end-to-end SDLC for multi-team deliveries; enforce coding standards, design reviews, and performance monitoring. Modernize legacy systems using Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, and messaging (JMS); migrate components to API-first architectures. Drive CI/CD with Jenkins/Hudson, Maven, JUnit/TDD; improve release throughput and quality. Collaborate on schema design and tuning for Oracle/DB2/SQL Server workloads. Apply AML/KYC and corporate security standards within development/testing processes. Translate business needs into technical roadmaps; prepare architecture artifacts (SRS, UML models). Mentor engineers, allocate work, conduct code/test reviews, and resolve production issues. Required Qualifications: Deep Java/J2EE expertise with enterprise frameworks (Spring, Hibernate). Web engineering proficiency (HTML/CSS/JavaScript, React, Angular). API & integration mastery (RESTful services, SOAP/WSDL). Databases & performance (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server). CI/CD & testing (Maven, Jenkins, JUnit/TDD). Application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss). SDLC leadership across Agile/RUP/Waterfall. Compliance exposure (AML/KYC). Skill Chart Table
