Job Details

Please note: This role is contingent upon a contract award. While it is not an immediate opening, we are actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the award.

The Work

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our database systems, primarily across Oracle, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of databases while supporting day-to-day operations, backups, and database user access.

What You Will Do:

  • Administer and maintain Oracle, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL database systems.

  • Perform regular database monitoring, backups, restores, and performance tuning.

  • Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database software and tools.

  • Monitor and manage database security, user permissions, and access controls.

  • Implement and manage replication, failover, and high availability mechanisms.

  • Ensure data integrity, data quality, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

  • Support database migration and conversion projects across environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues quickly and efficiently.

  • Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and configuration guides.

  • Collaborate with development teams to assist in SQL query optimization and schema changes.

What You Will Bring With You:

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements

  • Candidate must be able to pass successful Public Trust background check

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems or related technology field

  • 1 or more years of experience in Oracle 11, Oracle 12 and Oracle 19C, as well as working with and supporting Agile processing

  • At least 2+ years of experience Hands-on experience administering Oracle, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL databases.

What We Would Like You To Bring With You:

  • Master's degree

  • Experience with cloud-based database management (AWS RDS, Azure Database, Google Cloud SQL).

  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments for database management and scripting.

  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) related to database deployments.

  • Certifications such as:

  • Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate (OCA/OCP)

  • MariaDB Certified Database Administrator

  • PostgreSQL Certified Professional

Professional Skills:

  • Highly effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all levels of the business.

  • Organized, detailed oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$81,094.00 - $137,860.00
