We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Third Party Application Engineering to join Markets Hub team. This role is in New York City, NY.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Lead delivery of real-time market data (LSEG/Refinitiv/Bloomberg) entitlements, oversee and drive on-time completion of analysis, design, development, testing, and release in partnership with the Product / Platform Managers
Managing Market Data Applications (LSEG/Refinitiv/Reuters/Bloomberg) and entitlement systems (DACS, EMRS)
Capturing detailed data flows and documenting downstream consumption
Governing usage against license and sharing restrictions
Manage Product / Platform-specific tech vendor assessment and ensure vendor accountability
Escalate incidents or concerns to the SDG Lead for resolution as needed
Provide thought leadership and support for team of engineers and developers with issues and questions
Provide technical feedback to Product Owners, integrating input across all technical teams (incl. solutions architecture and design)
Collaborate with Engineering Lead to identify opportunities for process improvement where relevant through research and continuous improvement
Manage and track adherence to tech development KPIs, with regular aggregated reporting of progress across Hub

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • 3+ years' experience in managing live market data systems (LSEG/Refinitiv/Bloomberg)
  • Vendor & Relationship Management experience and comprehension of Vendor Licensing and Usage agreements
  • Ability to communicate with technology, operations, architects, key stakeholders, and senior business partners
  • Strong execution skills and ability to navigate the organization to get things done
  • Hands-on technical skills to be able to swiftly identify real-time market data issues or data content problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $220,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
