Job Description

About the Position:

Juniper networks is a leading provider of network security products. This position provides a great opportunity to work in an innovative and excellent software development team and develop the cutting-edge networking security technologies.

Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer, you will design and develop networking security platform software and system software to achieve high availability, scalability & performance, complete software development projects with high quality and collaborate across functional teams. You will be working closely with a team of highly skilled and brilliant engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding and hands-on working experience of Ethernet, TCP/IP, high availability of networking devices and networking security products.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux programming, computer operating system, data structure and algorithm design.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience of Linux or FreeBSD kernel and/or application programing and debugging skills.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience of multi-core/multi-thread CPU programming.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
  • Good verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experiences of router, switch or security products and L2 or L3 networking protocols.
  • Solid programming skills with Python or other scripts.
  • Hands-on experiences of unit test and automation of networking products.
  • Knowledge of computer & networking virtualization.
  • Knowledge of cloud applications, ML or AI technologies.

About the Group:

Juniper security product engineering group built cutting-edge and carrier class security products including data centers, distributed security gateways, front-/back-haul and/or inter-DC security gateways, all on top of Juniper cutting-edge routing/switching products. They all are managed by cloud-based and AI-driven network orchestration to ensure deployment agility and operation simplicity. Juniper security product portfolio has been serving Tier 1 enterprises, service providers, enterprise data centers, and all world-wide top-ranked cloud companies. You will work with a team of brilliant engineers who look forward to building the next generation networking security/routing/switching infrastructure.

Minimum Salary: $102,400.48

Maximum Salary:$147,198.90

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $102,400.48 and $147,198.90/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
