Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic non-profit environment where your technical expertise and customer service skills will make an impact. The role requires flexibility, as it involves in-person support four days a week and a 32-hour work schedule.

Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on technical support for Mac computers, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets efficiently using a ticketing system.
Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing user concerns and ensuring a smooth IT experience.
Work independently to diagnose and resolve technical problems with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless IT operations and support.
Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues and resolutions.
Assist in onboarding and training users on system functionalities as needed.
Adapt to changing schedules and priorities to meet organizational needs.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience providing IT support, preferably in a helpdesk or IT department setting.
Proficiency in troubleshooting issues related to Mac computers.
Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems and basic IT processes.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with users and team members.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
High level of flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and requirements.
Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering quality support.
