UX Researcher (Junior)

We are seeking a highly motivated UX Researcher who is passionate about improving digital experiences through user insight, usability testing, and human-centered design. In this role, you will conduct end-to-end UX research in a fast-paced, collaborative environment working closely with clients, product managers, designers, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate understands design research fundamentals and can translate user needs into actionable design and product decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Discovery

  • Understand project goals at early and ambiguous stages to define clear research objectives.
  • Select appropriate research methodologies and recruit target participants.
  • Conduct qualitative research through moderated/unmoderated usability tests, interviews, surveys, and task analysis.

Usability Testing & Evaluation

  • Plan and conduct iterative usability tests to validate concepts and identify experience gaps.
  • Create test plans, protocols, and discussion guides tailored to research goals.
  • Evaluate existing and proposed designs using usability heuristics and accessibility standards.

Insight Synthesis & Reporting

  • Analyze research data to uncover actionable insights tied to user needs, product outcomes, and business goals.
  • Integrate qualitative findings with available quantitative data, competitive analysis, and secondary research.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and research strategy clearly to internal teams and clients.

Collaboration & Advocacy

  • Work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to embed research insights into product decisions.
  • Advocate for user-centered design practices and ensure research outcomes influence product direction.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to scale and refine research processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, HCI, Anthropology, or related UX/design discipline.
  • 1 3 years of hands-on UX research experience in a non-academic environment; healthcare domain experience preferred.
  • Experience with key research methods including usability testing, heuristic evaluation, user interviews, surveys, journey mapping, personas, co-creation workshops, and task analysis.
  • Proficiency with UX research and analytics tools (e.g., User Zoom/User Testing, Content square, Medallia, Pendo).
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Figma (coding/prototyping exposure is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of human-centered design principles, accessibility guidelines, and ideally assistive technology usage.
