Role and Responsibilities
The Associate Cybersecurity Consultant plays a key role in supporting the cybersecurity needs of external clients by assisting in the planning, execution, and delivery of non-technical security assessments, security exercises, and procedural document development. This role services as a trusted advisor to clients in guiding their cybersecurity practices and strategic decision-making and a support role to Senior Consultants in delivering executive-level cybersecurity services.

The Associate Cybersecurity Consultant plays a key role in supporting the cybersecurity needs of external clients by assisting in the planning, execution, and delivery of non-technical security assessments, security exercises, and procedural document development. This role services as a trusted advisor to clients in guiding their cybersecurity practices and strategic decision-making and a support role to Senior Consultants in delivering executive-level cybersecurity services.
Essential Functions
- Perform consulting deliverables and services for clients, including policy development, assessment execution, cybersecurity training delivery, and assisting Senior Consultants in executive-level cybersecurity engagements.
- Work closely with the Cybersecurity Professional Services team to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Remain current on information security trends.
- Actively participates in Company, management, and Team meetings.
- Continuously pursue training and knowledge on Cybersecurity Professional Services offerings to broaden the range of project types that can be independently executed.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Familiarity and interest in the field of cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS 20, NIST 800-30, NIST 800-53, FISMA, FERPA, CJIS, JIST, PCI DSS, etc.
- Ability to speak confidently on cybersecurity domains and lead dialog with senior management as well as technical and operations personnel.
- Capability to develop and lead presentations and present confidently in a professional manner consistently.
- Excellent research, interviewing and writing skills.
- Well organized, detail oriented, and able to meet specific deadlines.
- Flexibility with day-travel to regional clients, and infrequent overnight travel.
- Positive attitude and strong affinity to teamwork.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in technology, information systems, or related field preferred.
- Interest in pursuing relevant security certifications: CISM, CRISC, CISA, CISSP
