Summary:

The Manager, BPT Infrastructure & Operations at S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. in Racine, Wisconsin will oversee network engineering projects within the network and telecom space

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will:

  • Interface with the Enterprise, Infrastructure, and other Network Architects to understand all high-level network engineering designs (HLDs) to translate them to the low-level designs (LLDs) for implementation.
  • Provide input into the overall Strategic Network Direction and ensure necessary hardware, software, and engineering tools are provided for successful delivery of the Network Technology roadmap.
  • Act as an engineering liaison to the Global Information Security team regarding network security status, policies, and procedures, as applicable to engineering solutions, products, and designs in the infrastructure space.
  • Act as an escalation point for network-related incidents to maintain maximum uptime for the business.
  • Partner with the Network Operations Team for definition, refinement, monitoring, and implementation (via proper designs) of expectations by business network SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Interface with other architects to ensure designs are implemented per process, including evaluating and recommending new products, maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise.
  • Interface with vendors and partners to ensure security is maintained and integrated into all network connectivity activities.
  • Work with the Global Information Security to interpret security analysis requirements.
  • May manage project teams.


Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, plus five years in a professional network architecture, engineering, and design, or related, occupation.
  • Must include five years of experience in each of the following:
  • Data Center technologies, including LAN, WLAN, F5 Load Balancer, IaaS, and QoS;
  • Wireless Networks, including Cisco and Meraki;
  • Security Solutions, including Cisco ASA, FirePower, Cisco ISE, PaloAlto, Zscaler, BloxOne, FireEye, F5 WAF, IDP, and IDS;
  • Networking Protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, MPLS, VPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and NAT;
  • Security Protocols, including RADIUS, AAA, TACACS+, MFA, NAC, 802.1x, VPN, IPsec, SSL, and TLS;
  • Network troubleshooting, segmentation, and access control; and managing project teams.
  • Remote work available once a week for eligible employees.
  • Not eligible for relocation assistance.
