Job Details
The Specialist, Process Optimization plays a key role in turning data into action. This role supports the optimization of core operational applications by analyzing performance trends, documenting frontline behaviors, and supporting structured improvement initiatives. The role is best suited for someone who thrives on digging into operational performance issues and influencing positive behavioral and process change.
We Care:
Engage with frontline staff and leaders to understand operational challenges firsthand
Document what s working and what s not with empathy and objectivity
Help regions improve outcomes by listening deeply and advising respectfully
We Collaborate:
Work with Operations, Deployment, and Training to ensure your findings are actionable and well-integrated
Partner with System Settings to distinguish behavior vs configuration issues
Share insights across the entire Program Management Office (PMO) team to close recurring performance gaps

Leverage performance metrics (schedule vs actual, deadhead, and trip completion) to support operations with improving process performance
Use evidence not assumptions to assess challenges and guide decisions
Document findings clearly and propose practical solutions, not just abstract ideas

Celebrate wins big and small when a region reduces missed trips or improves routing efficiency
Be the go-to person for what s really happening on the ground
Make continuous improvement approachable and fun through quick wins and field-friendly tools

Constantly look for new patterns in performance data and raise ideas others haven t yet noticed
Stay curious, persistent, and committed to making the implementation of processes/technologies more impactful for every user
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in operations, analytics, or process improvement
Working knowledge of performance metrics in student transportation or logistics
Strong Excel, reporting, and documentation skills
Able to work independently on assessments and as a collaborative partner in solutioning sessions
Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and/or TQM)
Salary: $90,000 - 120,000 per year
