Role: DevOps Engineer Professional
Supporting: Large Financial Services Client
Location: Onsite McLean, VA
Position Description: We're looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on building and supporting scalable, secure cloud platforms. In this role, you'll drive automation, manage containerized workloads, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support enterprise applications. You'll collaborate across architecture, operations, and product teams to deliver resilient solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and participate in on-call support. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, promotes a culture of innovation and operational excellence, and is passionate about cloud-native development and automation.
Qualifications:
4+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years in public cloud integration
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM), and infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
Proficient in DevOps tools: Jenkins, Helm, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jira, and Confluence
Skilled in Python, Ansible, and shell scripting for automation
Experience with ETL tools (Informatica IICS) is a plus
Able to provide periodic after-hours support and resolve complex cloud issues
Strong focus on automation, documentation, and collaboration
Excellent communicator with ability to guide teams and adapt to change
