Job Description Summary
Join GE Gas Power Controls and contribute to the transformation of the energy sector. As part of our Simulation and Modeling Technology & Standards team, you will work on innovative solutions in areas such as carbon capture, decarbonization, fast power, and grid stabilization. Our collaborative, global team of over 500 engineers is dedicated to delivering clean, efficient, and reliable power to customers worldwide. You will operate within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), driving continuous improvement through Lean principles and engaging in full product lifecycle activities-from concept to implementation and upgrades.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs. Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors. Includes operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems and systems.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

• For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Controls Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
• For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is 71,600.00 - 107,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% performance bonusThe Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
