Job Details

Location: 4x week onsite Austin, TX Prefer local but will accept relo if it s 2-3 weeks from offer

Job Summary:

The Master Data Management (MDM) Business Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of an organization's master data. This role involves working closely with various departments to design, implement, and maintain processes and systems that manage, cleanse, and integrate master data from diverse sources.

This job role requires a blend of technical skills and business acumen to effectively manage and analyze an organization's critical master data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.
  2. Design and create business process flows, policies, and procedures for all end-to-end MDM processes with input from the business and IT teams
  3. Create data quality requirements & rules and standardization, for mastering data from multiple sources to ensure its accuracy and consistency.
  4. Develop and execute data quality metrics and reports.
  5. Create and maintain data governance policies. Support Data Governance Program and present any new policies/requirements to the DG Council.
  6. Participate in data profiling and data mapping activities.
  7. Develop and manage data integration processes and workflows.
  8. Provide data analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
  9. Conduct data impact assessments for new initiatives or changes in business processes.
  10. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure MDM solutions are properly integrated into existing systems.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in MDM and data management.
  12. Provide training and support to end-users on MDM tools and processes.
  13. Become liaison between Business & IT to help understand data definitions, rules & data dependencies

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics
  2. Proven experience in data management, data warehousing, or related fields.
  3. Strong knowledge of Master Data Management principles and practices.
  4. Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes.
  5. Experience with data quality tools and techniques.
  6. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  8. Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  9. Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with data visualization tools.
