Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Oracle Linux Support Engineer with 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in patch management, system updates, and Oracle support coordination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining system security, managing CVEs, and ensuring smooth support escalations to Oracle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply and manage patches and fixes for critical and important CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) related to Oracle Linux 7.9 and other supported OS packages.

  • Manage package updates and coordinate with teams for approved rollouts.

  • Monitor system health and identify the need for critical updates.

  • Respond to and troubleshoot Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical issues.

  • Document all patching, update, and system change activities.

  • Create and manage Oracle service requests as needed.

  • Collaborate with Oracle Support for escalations beyond in-house capabilities.

Required Skills:

  • 4 6 years of experience supporting Oracle Linux and enterprise-level operating systems.

  • Experience in CVE remediation, OS patching, and updates.

  • Basic understanding of Oracle support workflows and escalation procedures.

  • Familiarity with 24x7 support environments and ITIL processes.

  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Preferred:

  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) Linux or relevant certifications.

  • Knowledge of automated patch management tools.
