Position: Business Analyst
Contract: W2 Only
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and business teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions with cross-functional teams.
Perform gap analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
Partner with developers, QA engineers, and UX teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Support testing activities by reviewing test plans, validating test cases, and ensuring alignment with business needs.
Create and maintain business process models, workflows, and documentation.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, standups, and retrospectives.
Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or software development environments.
Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
Proficient with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Rally, or Azure DevOps).
Skilled in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process flows.
Strong understanding of SDLC, system integration, and testing practices.
Excellent data analysis and SQL skills for querying and validating datasets.
Experience with workflow modeling, UML, BPMN, or similar methodologies.
Ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
Strong presentation and communication skills for executive and technical audiences.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in domains such as finance, healthcare, retail, or e-commerce.
Knowledge of APIs, data integration, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with business intelligence (Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization.
Exposure to process automation (RPA) and digital transformation initiatives.
Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, SOX).
Basic knowledge of project management frameworks (PMP, SAFe, or Lean).
