Description APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Use computer assisted design (CAD) tools to implement and design to manufacturing specs the layout of Apple custom IP's. Collaborate with a large team of Layout and circuit designers to establish methodologies and flows for high quality QA. Drive the implementation of specific design blocks according to spec on time. Study new technologies and their impact on layout. Design complex layout for mixed signal and digital circuits in deep SubMicron CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) technologies. Evaluate the design efforts and provided detailed execution plan. Use Engineering knowledge to assemble layout designs that minimize Resistance and Capacitance of signals and achieve high frequency design. Interpretation of LVS, DRC and ERC reports to find and correct design flaws. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $162,244 - $205,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Understanding Electrical characteristics.
  • Experience in SRAM design or Library layout design.
  • Experience in Silicon Manufacturing Technology.
  • Utilizing Pcell scripting to design efficient layout.
  • Experience in FinFet/Deep SubMicron technologies.
  • Using Layout design tools (Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics, or Synopsys).
  • Experience in Layout optimization techniques (power, area, and performance).
  • Experience Transistor-level custom digital layout design (memory design and/or library design).
  • Experience in Physical verification (LVS, DRC, ERC, and DFM).
  • Experience in Layout floor planning, standard cell planning, and hierarchical layout design.
  • Experience in Timing-driven layout design (high speed, low noise, and RC delay).
  • Experience in Failure-prone circuit and layout structures.
