Job Details

Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Database Administrator located in or near Raleigh, NC, for a fully onsite opportunity. Candidates must be available for an in-person interview and able to work onsite from day one.
Under the direction of a Data Architect, the Database Administrator will be responsible for data profiling, analysis, cleansing, database design and implementation, data conversion, and governance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to high-level data management projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in understanding data structures, schemas, and creating appropriate indexes
5 years experience designing logical and physical data models to ensure data integrity
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with DB2 and SQL Server DBMS
Strong background (5+ years) in ETL processes extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources
Minimum 2 years experience using data cleansing tools
Ability to create and execute comprehensive test cases (5+ years)
Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines (5+ years)

Preferred Skills:
3+ years of experience resolving issues in the data cleansing process
Strong communication skills ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Skilled at breaking down complex problems and extracting insights from large datasets

Key Responsibilities:
Perform data analysis and oversee database management activities
Design data dictionaries, logical/physical database models, and conduct performance tuning
Develop requirements for databases, schemas, data maps, ERDs, and application objects (e.g., tables, indexes, views)
Create data rules to identify and correct data quality issues
Execute data profiling, cleansing, conversion, and governance strategies to support client data operations

Important Notes:
This is a 100% onsite position in Raleigh, NC remote work is not available
In-person interviews are mandatory
