Join our Global IT Service Desk as a Service Desk Analyst II, where you'll provide first-line assistance to attorneys and business professionals across the firm.
In this role, you'll handle most support requests via phone and email, resolving the majority on first contact. You'll draw on your technical expertise and strong communication skills to deliver responsive, high-quality support in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Compensation
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. - Frontline Support - Resolve 75% of incoming tech issues via phone/email; escalate complex cases as needed.
- Ticketing & Follow-Up - Log, monitor, and update support tickets with accuracy and follow through to resolution.
- Customer Service - Provide professional, courteous support to users at all levels.
- Technical Troubleshooting - Support Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Citrix, VPN, VOIP, mobile devices, and basic networking.
- Collaboration - Work with internal teams to resolve issues and share technical insights.
- Knowledge Development - Stay current on firm technologies and contribute to support documentation.
- After-Hours Coverage - Participate in on-call and overtime support as needed.
What You'll Bring
- Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience - 5-7 years in IT support; law firm or professional services background preferred.
- Technical Skills - Strong troubleshooting in Microsoft tools, iManage, AirWatch, Citrix, remote access, and mobile platforms.
- Service Mindset - Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Team Player - Willingness to support colleagues and share knowledge.
- Certifications - A+ and/or Microsoft certifications preferred.
