Network Security Engineer

Job Description Our client, an oil and gas company, is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their IT team. The client company is a leading distributor of petroleum products for a variety of applications. They are an accumulation of smaller companies joined together to partner with industry leading brands.

The key functions of this role is network management, security management, firewall and access control, and data protection. You will be responsible for the company's network infrastructure security and performance optimization. Tech wise, you'd be working with the Cisco suite of products, network intrusion detection/protection systems, Barracuda, and Mimecast.

This is a full-time, hybrid (2-3 days a week onsite) position located in Norcross, Georgia. Compensation is a $80-100k salary. Required Skills & Experience

• Hands on experience working in a Cisco based environment.
• Advanced knowledge of network security and data protection (MS SQL protection a plus).
• Knowledge of a variety of routing protocols.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 4-5 years of experience in network engineering, 2-3 of those years in network security.
• Related certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CiSSP) a huge plus.
