ECS is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist for a vessel midlife repair period in Ketchikan, AK .
The role of Fisheries Survey Vessel (FSV) Midlife Administrative Support Specialist is to support the execution of a marine vessel midlife repair period. The NOAA ship OSCAR DYSON will undergo her midlife repair at the JAG shipyard in Ketchikan, AK. This role will be on site at the JAG Shipyard where you will be an integral member of the on-site oversight team. The ideal candidate will be local to the JAG shipyard or be willing to move there for the duration of this project.

The role of Fisheries Survey Vessel (FSV) Midlife Administrative Support Specialist is to support the execution of a marine vessel midlife repair period. The NOAA ship OSCAR DYSON will undergo her midlife repair at the JAG shipyard in Ketchikan, AK. This role will be on site at the JAG Shipyard where you will be an integral member of the on-site oversight team. The ideal candidate will be local to the JAG shipyard or be willing to move there for the duration of this project.
Specific duties include:
- Participate in weekly meetings as assigned and track any action items from these meetings.
- Review schedule for the vessel Midlife Repair Plan (MRP) and plan accordingly to track deadlines for work items, drawings, working drawings, and manuals for each of the ships.
- Condition Found Reports (CFR)
- Review incoming CFRs and work with the project team to assemble the repose.
- Act as the point person for CFR responses (CRRs) interfacing with the contractor.
- In SAMM, catalogue CFRs, responses (CRRs) and follow-up action when required
- Additional Industrial Repair (AIRs)
- Upload AIRs to SAMM
- Oversee logistics of government material and spare parts delivery.
- Track shipments/receipt of material and verify against purchase order
- File associated documentation
- Manage electronic deliverables - track receipt and manage storage and distribution
- Manuals for the new equipment
- Updated drawings, maintain version control
- Regulatory certs.
- Participate with the technical team in the final review "As Built" drawings at the end of the Industrial Period on board the ship as needed.
- Provide a weekly report to the Program Manager for tracking drawings updates, contract work item completion, action items and working drawings manuals for each of the ships.
- Develop/update Power Point slides for reporting as needed.
- Take pictures of construction progress.
- Maintain an ongoing logbook describing construction progress.

- Excellent organization skills for both hard copy and electronic files
- Experience in a shipyard or industrial environment is highly desired, but not required
- 2-15 years of experience

- Familiarity with vessel repair
