Senior Test Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in McLean, VA that is seeking a Senior Test Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* The Senior Test Engineer designs and automates test cases for high-performance, large-scale systems
* Leads testing strategy, execution, and reporting
* Performs backend testing with a strong developer background and supports integration and risk management across software/hardware systems
* As a Senior Test Engineer, this role manages configuration, change, and release processes

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

Technical Environment & Tools:
* Testing Tools: Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, REST Assured, custom test harnesses
* Automation & CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven, Docker
* Backend & API Testing: RESTful API validation, JSON/XML payload verification, database validation
* Languages & Frameworks: Java, Python, JavaScript, Spring Boot
* Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (SQS, EC2, S3), Terraform, Docker
* Search & Logging: ElasticSearch, OpenSearch
* UI Frameworks (for integration testing): Vue.js, Angular, .NET
* DevOps & Monitoring: Git, SonarQube, PowerShell, Bash scripting
* Security & Compliance: STIGs, patching, secure coding practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
