Junior DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure the rapid, reliable, and secure delivery of software. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to bridge the gap between development, QA, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines: Design, build, and maintain automated pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure: Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources across platforms like , Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Containerization and orchestration: Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like (e.g., Amazon EKS).
  • System monitoring and observability: Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Implement security best practices: Integrate security into the development and deployment process (DevSecOps), conduct security assessments, and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Perform root cause analysis of production errors and quickly resolve technical issues in development, staging, and production environments.
  • Drive automation: Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to improve system efficiency.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and operations teams to optimize the software development lifecycle and foster a culture of shared responsibility.
  • Stay current on technology: Continuously research and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the DevOps processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role, with varying levels of experience depending on seniority (e.g., 2+ years for mid-level, 5+ for senior).
  • Cloud experience: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • CI/CD tools: Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Containerization: Strong knowledge of Docker and experience with Kubernetes.
  • IaC tools: Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Scripting: Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash.
  • OS knowledge: Hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
  • Monitoring tools: Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications
  • DevOps certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)).
  • Database knowledge: Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
  • Observability: Experience with advanced observability tools like the Grafana stack (Mimir, Loki, Tempo).
  • GitOps: Experience with GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD.
  • Programming: Experience with additional programming languages (e.g., Go, Ruby).
