AWS Security Architect

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Security Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of platform migration into our R&T AWS Cloud environment. Post migration, resource we will support the transformation of parts of the platform to AWS native capabilities (application and data tiers) to improve scale and stability. This role is to ensure enterprise-grade security across the platform environments, infrastructure, services, and data, while aligning to R&T policies, standards and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect responsible for securing AWS environments using services like IAM, VPC, ACM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Lake, etc
- Integrate AWS with enterprise security tools (e.g., Zscaler, Qualys, Rapid7, Sentinel One)
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2, FS-ISAC and other regulatory standards
- Promote DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on scripting and automation (Python, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Mentor team and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Evaluate new AWS security features and recommend improvements
- Establish and support AWS specific security risk assessment
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in IT security, with 5+ years focused on AWS architecture
- Deep expertise in AWS-native and third-party security tools
- Strong understanding of cloud governance, encryption, and identity management.
- Resource should have experience with both Okta and CyberArk
- Experience with regulatory compliance and audit readiness
- Strong experience with Industry SIEM solutions
- Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional (required), AWS Security Specialty, CISSP/CCSP (preferred)
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS)
- Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences
