Job Description Summary

The ideal candidate will focus on coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in an organization. The candidate will determine the IT needs of the organization and are responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements.

Special Skills
  • Experience with Epicor P21 ERP, Syspro ERP or similar system
  • Leading and Managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phones systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Must have a strong desire to learn and keep abreast of new and emerging technologies

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cyber-security for the company
  • Ensure the company complies with IT Sarbanes Oxley and company standard practice instructions
  • Control costs and budgets regarding IT systems
  • Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware
  • Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
  • Maintain and optimize local company networks and servers
  • Create, provision, and manage virtual servers, in the VMWare environment
  • Manage and resolve issues with the IP network, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Evaluate risk, develop network recovery and backup processes
  • Implement, monitor, and manage backup processes along with replication to the cloud model
  • Implement and manage SQL server backup schedules
  • Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan
  • Test recovery of backup data to ensure it is readable, not corrupt
  • Implementing security for network, data, and storage
  • Assess system performance and recommend improvements
  • Deploy endpoint protection, monitor, and resolve issues with Malware, etc.
  • Monitor and manage the endpoint protection console
  • Manage and perform maintenance on the ERP Database(s)
  • Perform mas updates to ERP System tables
  • Manage the ERP access and permissions
  • maintain and write crystal reports
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting information systems to operate effectively
  • Manage user access and security in Active Directory
  • Implement and manage group policy for the domain
  • Maintain local domain controllers and monitor event logs and replication
  • Install, configure, and maintain updates on Watchguard firewalls at multiple sites
  • Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals
  • Manage Office 365 accounts and subscriptions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server and desktop hardware and software issues
  • Manage the Helpdesk to resolve reported hardware and software issues and permission request
  • Implement and maintain remote connections for remote users
  • Work with vendor and technical support agents to resolve supported technical issues
  • Implement and manage subscription and support contracts related to IT operations
  • Work with site managers and corporate IT representatives to accomplish local and corporate initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
  • Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems
  • Strong technical problem solving and communication skills
