Job Description
Hiring to support our client working on multiple medium to large projects in the Savannah, GA area and need structured cabling technicians at various levels.
Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables and fiber optic cables.
Route cable through conduit, above ceilings, and between floors per job specifications.
Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
Identify color codes for 568A, 568B, 6 strand fiber, 12 strand fiber, 25 pair, and 50 pair.
Provide or relocate cable and modular connections.
Assist in the installation of communications hardware.
Complete projects within budget, on time, and in a safe manner.
Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, and team members.
Submit all paperwork on time.
Adhere to all required project-specific as well as safety requirements.
Conduct field training and second-level problem evaluation using documented procedures and available tools.
Provide timely feedback to customers and management through prompt, accurate recording/communication of problem systems and status.
Escalate unresolved requests using documented procedures, working with third-level technicians and/or third-party vendors to formulate an effective resolution action plan.
Recognize/analyze recurring issues and recommend constructive improvements to prevent recurrence.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
