Operations Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:

As an engineer on our team, you'll work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning ( MW ) , Missile Tracking ( MT ) , and Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance ( TISR ) capab ilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to deter and defeat our enemies in battle. Your customer will t rus t you to not only architect, engineer, integrate, test and deploy these systems, but also identify areas requiring urgent mitigation up front and early to develop this system with advanced technology solutions. You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience in large-scale space systems engineering on space vehicles, OPIR pay load s, and TT & C subsystems
  • 4+ years of experience working on a space Major Defense Acqui sit ion Program including space, ground, sof tware, and hardware systems
  • Experience with the development of technical specifications, interface control documents, integration plans and schedules, and inter-service support agreements, or operations acceptance plans
  • Experience with the Mission Operational Test Readiness Certification ( MOTRC ) or Program Executive Officer ( PEO ) Certification for operational tests, or Space Flight Worthiness processes
  • Ability to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews and requirements verification
  • Ability to identify, analyze, resolve technical risks and issues, develop technical reports, and collaborate with the government and stakeholders to implement recommended solutions
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships and integrate with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Center s ( FFRDC ) , and asso cia te contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with performing operations, systems engineering, integration, or tests on space-based remote sensing systems
  • Experience with using a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 / 02
  • Knowledge of Agile Met hodologies
  • Ability to identify where data is needed and seek more information
  • Possession of strong integration skills
  • Possession of strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or IT
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certifications, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
