Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer SRE to join our engineering and infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud computing, infrastructure as code, and cybersecurity, with a focus on system reliability, security automation, and scalable architecture. This role is critical in ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.

Required Skillsets:

7 10+ years of relevant experience in Cloud Security, SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering roles.

Strong experience in cloud platforms: AWS and/or Azure (Google Cloud Platform is a plus).

Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Strong programming/scripting knowledge in Python, Go, Shell, or similar.

Expertise in Linux/Unix system administration.

Experience with containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.

Hands-on experience with monitoring & observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, etc.

CI/CD automation tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Familiarity with networking and security concepts: firewalls, DNS, TLS, VPNs, etc.

Incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning experience.

Cloud security best practices (IAM, secrets management, encryption).

Hands-on with tools like HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Azure Key Vault.

Experience with compliance audits or enforcement of standards (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2).

Exposure to threat modeling, secure code review, and cloud-native security posture management (CSPM).

Understanding of network security, firewalls, encryption, and endpoint protection.

Good-to-Have Skillsets:

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture implementation.

Working knowledge of SIEM tools and security automation (SOAR).

Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd.

Exposure to chaos engineering or resilience testing.

Background in DevSecOps or security champion programs.

Certifications preferred:

o AWS Certified Security Specialty

o Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

o HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate

o GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA) or similar

Responsibilities:

Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure using best practices for reliability, scalability, and compliance.

Design and implement cloud security architectures aligned with compliance standards and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).

Manage cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Defender, Google Cloud Platform Security Command Center).

Automate infrastructure deployment and security controls using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Monitor cloud environments to ensure system availability, performance, and security.

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines integrated with security controls.

Lead or support incident detection, response, and post-mortem reviews.

Apply Zero Trust principles and manage IAM across cloud platforms.

Perform security risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.

Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and Security teams to integrate secure-by-design principles.

Ensure systems comply with standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, or PCI-DSS.

Document technical designs, procedures, and post-incident reports.
