Network Architect- Cloud and Security
Roseland, NJ; Alpharetta, GA; Norfolk, VA (Onsite)
Long-term contract role
Expertise on:
- AWS:ALB, NLB, IGW, TGW, GWLB, Direct Connects, DX Gateways, VPNs, CloudWatch, CloudWAN, Guard-duty, Route53, Cloud Front, NAT Gateways, NACL, Security groups, and various AWS network security Products. Staff to ensure the Design/deployment and seamless operation of the network infrastructure for AWS
- AZURE:Design/deployment and support of Express Routes, VN's, VPN, Traffic Manager, NAT Gateways, NLB, Secure Cloud CDN, WebALB, Virtual Network Peering, Virtual Network Manager, Application Gateways, Azure IPAM, and Azure monitoring Solutions.
- Cloud Orchestration:automating the deployment, management, and scaling of cloud services to ensure stable operations across a multi-cloud environment. Module
- Routing:Strong Routing protocol knowledge for BGP and OSPF, along with Geneve encapsulation.
- Leadership & Guidance:Serve as a technical leader in a multi-cloud environment, sought after by peers and stakeholders for advice, guidance, and solutions to complex network challenges.
- adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements, and assist in lab/QA deployments for technology proof of concepts.
- Participate in all facets of requirements gathering, prioritization, design, development, testing and execution of network engineering and security requests
- Build strong cross-organizational relationships; effectively work with staff across the IT organization and the broader enterprise to align the network security technologies with overall organizational needs
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to identify and select the products or services that best support the organization's global network strategies
- Be a mentor to other team members and lead through example by influencing the use of standards defined by the team and technical leadership
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of Network Security work experience in Architecture, Design, and Engineering
- Experience in recommending, designing, implementing, and maintaining state-of-the-art network and application delivery hardware and software systems
- Network & Infrastructure experience specific to large-sized organizations (5,000 employees minimum)
- Experience with virtual network environments, datacenter and campus networking technologies, network security technologies like firewall, proxy, VPN, NAC, and application delivery functions like load balancing, CDN, etc.
- Ability to be flexible, decision-oriented, and motivated to support management initiatives
- Demonstrate a consultative approach to strategic decisions with a particular emphasis on design and delivery
- Hands-on experience in designing and deploying large-scale network security technologies to both infrastructure, application, and user populations.
- Prior experience in multi-vendor networking technologies
- Must be proficient in network architecture and design, network security, and network monitoring
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Strong foundation in dynamic routing protocols (i.e, OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, VxLAN, EVPN)
- Experience working with highly effective engineering teams through major technology transitions
- Experience working in complex network environments with legacy systems
Preferred:
- Current or held advanced network or security-related certifications (e.g., Cisco, Arista, CISSP, or relevant industry certification etc.)
- BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly preferred (i.e, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical degree)
- Experience or background with automation using Ansible and/or Python
- Prior experience working on network segmentation projects
- Experience with packet analysis and flow monitoring tools
- Experience with cloud deployments such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure
- Strong knowledge of NAC, SASE, SD-WAN, Macro/Micro segmentation
- This position is preferred in our Alpharetta (GA), Roseland (NJ), or Norfolk (VA) locations.
