Software Engineer/DevOps

Description:
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer with a strong focus on frontend development and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and React, and will be responsible for ensuring seamless application deployment, automated continuous integration testing, and providing visibility into performance and key metrics to inform developers' decision-making.

Location: Fully Remote

Pay Rate: $45 - $50 an hour W2

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using JavaScript and TypeScript, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Frontend Integration: Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic using Angular and React.
• Application Deployment: Ensure smooth deployment of applications, utilizing best practices in CI/CD and cloud infrastructure management.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring solutions to track application performance and key metrics, providing insights to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively within a team, sharing progress, seeking assistance when needed, and providing constructive feedback.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices in web development and cloud infrastructure.

Experience Requirements:
Required Experience

• 5 years of experience in frontend development, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• 3 years of experience working with TypeScript/JavaScript, particularly with Angular and React.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript: Strong experience in building applications using JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on Angular and React.
• Version Control: Experience with Git for collaborative development and managing codebase changes.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform for managing resources on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, and PowerShell.
• AWS Services: Familiarity with core AWS services, including AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EC2, RDS, CloudFront, and CloudWatch.
• Database Management: Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

Education Requirements:
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Certification:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (preferred but not required).

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
