Summary
HID Global and ASSA ABLOY have embarked on a journey that will reshape the industry and transition many of the current door opening solutions from offline electronic and mechanical locks to cloud connected systems. The traditional keys and access cards are replaced by virtual credentials (Mobile IDs) that are securely transferred to mobile devices which are becoming the keys of the future. Significant investments have gone into this initiative and many customers have already adopted the technology.
As a Product Manager, Credentials Strategy you will be instrumental in defining, executing and launching our holistic credentials strategy for both physical and digital identities. You will oversee the development and implementation of credentialing strategies for physical access control systems (PACS). This role requires a understanding of SEOS, MIFARE, DESFire, FIDO2, CSA-Aliro, Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) standards, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials, and risk-based strategies for secure access.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop a strategic vision aligned with business priorities and aspirations and identify the most efficient way to achieve and sustain this vision and mission
- Drive innovation and differentiation for your products by understanding customer and market problems, competitive positioning and technology trends
- Deliver clear and actionable product requirements and roadmaps that address market problems for which customers are willing to pay to get solved
- Manage changes to the product vision and roadmap based on the portfolio s strategic themes and solution visions
- Maintain alignment with the lean portfolio canvas, lean budgets and guardrails.
- Define product development priorities with engineering and program management, using HID approved processes and tools, and aligning with business priorities
- Drive outcomes, institute a results-oriented mindset, develop and implement metrics that evaluate effectiveness of the product line
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing, sales, and product development efforts to drive revenue growth
- Develop and execute comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies for new product launches and existing product lines.
- Ensure cross-teams collaboration and alignment according to SAFe methodologies
Qualifications
- Product development expertise from concept to product launch
- Familiarity with hardware design, firmware platforming, app and cloud integration
- Ability to make difficult trade-offs and intelligent risk taking.
- Market focused mindset and ability to anticipate changes in customer's needs
- Strategic thinking and effective management on complex projects
- Analytical thinking and strategic mindset with strong technical knowledge
- Excellent communications skills, able to convey complex information clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
- Pro-active, hands-on and self-motivated, strong documentation skills
- Demonstrated cross-functional interaction with Sales, Quality, Finance and Operations
- Ability to challenge the status quo and drive change and culture through Change Management
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (Master is beneficial but not required).
- 3+ years of experience in similar role
- Understanding of cryptography principles and SEOS, MIFARE, DESFire, FIDO2, CSA-Aliro, FICAM standards and PIV credentials
- Experience in managing PACS and implementing credentialing strategies is a plus.
- Familiarity with NIST and FICAM guidelines for physical access control.
- Product Management experience across multiple customer types, technologies and
product development methodologies
- Knowledge of the physical access control industry is desired.
- Experience with agile development and lean innovation practices is a benefit.
- Training in SAFe such as Implementing SAFe and / or SAFe POPM is a benefit.
Language Skills
- Effective communication in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
- Must be able to present ideas and projects before groups of individuals.
- Additional major international languages are a plus.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
- Familiar CRM tools and analysis such as Salesforce.com
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams or other web-based communications software beneficial.
- Experience with Jira and Miro is beneficial, but not required.
Customer Expectations
- Ability to read and interpret customer RFI/RFP s, specifications, technical standards, etc.
- Effective management of customer requirements and expectations.
- Demonstrated history of excellence in customer interaction.

Work Requirements
