Business Data Analyst 12 Months Oakland, CA 94612 (REMOTE)

Note:

  • Assignment is mainly remote. Only submit candidates currently residing local to work location- Oakland General Office within client service territory. Two visits to Oakland go can be expected.
  • Team meetings are also conducted in San Ramon location which may be requested to attend in person once or twice. With manager prior approval client will reimburse for mileage and meals if travel is requested to Oakland or San Ramon.
  • Client laptop will be issued and any additional needs to be candidate. A personal laptop to be used first 1-2 weeks and log in via Citrix/VDI until client laptop is available.


Top Skill:

  • Communication, Excel, Power BI.
  • An understanding of databases, creation of reports, communication.

Education Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
Experience Minimum: 2 years of related work experience

  • Knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics
  • Full understanding of fundamental analysis and what-if modeling and how different factors affect business outcomes
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Organizational, prioritization and multi- tasking skills.
  • Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity
  • Presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps

  • Advanced in Information Analysis, Metrics and KPI Tracking
  • General understanding in Operational Monitoring & Analysis, Advocacy and Persuasion, and Presentation Skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis on moderately complex data models selecting from various reports and data options.
  • Determines data needs, collects data, selects from different analytical techniques to achieve desired data outcomes.
  • Understands business needs, develops new reports and performs custom/ad-hoc reporting working independently. Presents findings to various audiences.
  • Performs basic research internally and externally.
  • Communicates with peers inside and outside the department exchanging ideas or gathering information.
  • Support material management initiatives to improve tracking and reporting.
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and compiled data reports.
