Description:
Title: Mech Sys Design & Analysis Engr (Need Active Secret)

Location: Hazelwood, MO

Duration: 12 Months with possible extension

Job Description:

Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.

Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.

Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.

Supports system components'' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation.

Trains others. Works under general direction.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Experience with Unigraphics NX

Experience creating engineering drawings.

Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

3+ years of experience in mechanical system design

3+ years of experience with a mechanical design tool

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Experience in mechanical or aircraft system design.

Experience with instrumentation hardware used in test such as strain gages, accelerometers, thermocouples, or fluid flow sensors.

Experience with fabrication methods such as CNC machining, sheet metal forming, and assembly with aerospace fasteners.

Experience in prototyping or rapid product development.

Experience with PDM software such as Teamcenter or Enovia.

Proficiency in Unigraphics NX.

Education / Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
